Hello, I’m Mai, founder of SREPOKK. Life is a journey of discovery with many fascinating stops, and for me, SREPOKK is one of them.I began as a businessperson with no formal training in design or art. Yet, it was my natural curiosity that guided me from one path of exploration to another. SREPOKK has been one of the most challenging, but also one of the most e journeys along the way.
In 2022 and 2023 I spent a year living like a nomad from the Central Highlands to the Northwest of Vietnam.
On those trips, I saw a very different Vietnam compared to what I had known about the country during my more than 30 years of life spent only in the biggest cities.
Surprisingly, I saw many simple beauties in the distant and poor lands. I found original beauty in things that seemed old-fashioned and out of date. I asked myself, "Who is really wealthier, me or them? Taking lots of photos and videos feels like creating a memory museum. I can't help but want to turn them into something meaningful in my life.
From village to city, from having no skills, we inherited what we learned from artisans and turned our ideas into reality. It has been a long journey of inheritance and self-improvement and it will continue.
